Bhubaneswar, Nov 2: In a tragic turn of events in the Bhatli area of Odisha’s Bargarh district, a man reportedly took his own life after allegedly stabbing his wife to death during a family dispute. The incident occurred at their rented residence in Kushanpuri, falling under the jurisdiction of the Bhatli police station.
The deceased have been identified as Kishore Bhue and his wife, Sunita Bhue. According to preliminary reports, Kishore killed Sunita with a sharp-edged weapon on Friday night before hanging himself with a rope.
A police team responded swiftly after being alerted by the house owner and has since initiated an investigation into the incident. Sources indicate that the couple, who had been married for 14 years and resided in Bhatli for the past four years, had experienced increasing tensions in recent days, likely stemming from unresolved family issues.
Authorities suspect that this ongoing conflict may have escalated to the tragic murder-suicide. The bodies have been recovered and sent for post-mortem examinations to ascertain further details.
