The process for allotment of commercial plots and stalls for the upcoming Bali Yatra 2026 has commenced, with applications opening today for interested traders and businesses.
According to the schedule announced by authorities, applications will be accepted in two phases.
The first phase will continue from October 10 to October 17, while the second phase will be held from October 26 to October 30.
Stall auctions are scheduled to begin on November 2.
Officials said that any plots remaining unallotted after the auction process will be distributed through spot auctions.
The annual Bali Yatra festival, one of Odisha’s biggest trade and cultural fairs, is slated to begin on November 24.
This year, arrangements have been made for a total of 2,044 stalls across the fairground. Of these, 1,452 stalls will be located on the lower ground, while 592 stalls will be set up on the upper ground.
Authorities have fixed plot rates between ₹60 and ₹65 per square foot, depending on the location and category of the allotted space.
Bali Yatra, which commemorates Odisha’s rich maritime heritage and the historic voyages of ancient Odia traders to Southeast Asia, attracts lakhs of visitors every year and serves as a major platform for trade, commerce, entertainment, and cultural activities.
With the allotment process now underway, preparations for the grand festival are expected to gain momentum in the coming weeks.
