Jagannath Temple to Close for Krushna Janma Niti Ritual Tomorrow

Puri: The Shree Jagannath Temple administration has announced that public darshan will remain suspended for five hours on Friday, September 4, 2026, to facilitate the observance of Bhadraba Krushna Ashtami.

During this period, the sacred Krushna Janma Niti ritual will be performed inside the temple premises.

According to the advisory issued by Puri Police, devotees will not be allowed entry into the temple from 7 PM to 12 AM.

The restriction is aimed at ensuring the sanctity of the proceedings and smooth conduct of the ritual.

Authorities have urged devotees to plan their visits accordingly and cooperate with the administration.

Such temporary closures are routine during major rituals, preserving the spiritual atmosphere within the Shreemandir.
