Health Minister Mahaling Confirms Legislative Push in Assembly

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling announced that the state government will introduce five to six bills during the upcoming Monsoon Session of the Assembly, scheduled to begin on September 22, 2026.

Ahead of the session, the Business Advisory Committee will meet to finalise the agenda, while an all‑party meeting is set for September 21, with the Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition expected to attend.

Mahaling emphasised that the ruling party is prepared to debate any issue raised and urged the opposition to come equally prepared for constructive deliberations.

The short session is expected to witness intense discussions on legislative proposals and pressing state matters.
