Ganja Seized in Fish Boxes at Courier Warehouse in Kalahandi

Bhawanipatna (Kalahandi): In a major crackdown, the Excise Department seized nearly four quintals of ganja concealed inside 32 fish boxes at the Safexpress courier warehouse in Bhawanipatna.

Acting on a tip‑off, officials raided the facility and discovered the contraband, which was allegedly being transported to Uttar Pradesh.

The consignment was booked under the address of the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Bulandshahr (UP), but without mentioning any judge’s name.

The sender’s details were also missing, raising suspicion of a deliberate attempt to mask the smuggling network.

Authorities have launched an investigation to trace the supplier and identify others involved in the racket.
