ECoR Extends Jhansi–Khurda Weekly Special Till November
Bhubaneswar: To ease passenger congestion during the upcoming festive and holiday season, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced the extension of the Jhansi–Khurda Road Weekly Special till November 2026.
Train No. 01929 Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi–Khurda Road Weekly Special will continue to run every Friday from September 4 to November 27, 2026.
The return service, Train No. 01930 Khurda Road–Jhansi Weekly Special, will operate every Sunday from September 6 to November 29, 2026.
Railway officials confirmed that the trains will maintain their existing timings, route, stoppages, and coach composition.
The move is aimed at accommodating the surge in long‑distance travel demand between Uttar Pradesh and Odisha during Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath festivities.
Passengers are advised to check the latest running status on the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or official railway enquiry channels, as special trains may be subject to operational changes.
This extension underscores ECoR’s proactive measures to ensure smoother travel experiences for festival‑bound passengers.
