On July 14, senior students allegedly summoned juniors from Classes IX and X to the hostel and assaulted them with cricket bats, belts, and slippers.
Six students sustained injuries, including one with an eye injury. Initially, the victims remained silent out of fear, but a teacher noticed the marks and informed parents.
Guardians expressed outrage over the unchecked violence inside the hostel.
Following a written complaint, Debagada police registered a case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against nine students.
