CM Majhi to Inaugurate Paradip Kalinga Bali Yatra from Nov 23

Paradip: The historic Kalinga Bali Yatra at Paradip will commence on November 23 and continue for seven days, with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expected to inaugurate the grand cultural event.

Organizers have decided to make this year’s festival more vibrant and attractive, aiming to draw larger crowds and celebrate Odisha’s rich maritime heritage.

The decision was taken during a preparatory meeting where detailed plans for the successful organisation of the annual festival were discussed.

The organising committee is set to formally invite the Chief Minister to inaugurate the event.

The Kalinga Bali Yatra, which commemorates Odisha’s ancient maritime trade links with Southeast Asian countries, is one of the state’s prominent cultural festivals.

This year’s edition is expected to feature a wide range of cultural programmes, exhibitions, and entertainment activities.

To enhance public participation, organisers are planning to invite leading Ollywood and Bollywood artists to perform during the festival.

The move is expected to add glamour and attract visitors from across the state and beyond.

Speaking on the significance of the event, Sampad Swain, Industries Minister, emphasised that the festival serves as an important platform for preserving Odisha’s cultural traditions and maritime history while helping younger generations connect with their heritage.

The annual event has become a major attraction in Paradip, drawing thousands of visitors every year.

Organisers are hopeful that this year’s celebration will be one of the most successful editions yet.
