Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), May 3: BJP National President J P Nadda is scheduled for another visit to Odisha on May 5 to devise election strategies, as revealed by Golak Mohapatra, Vice President of the party’s state unit. Additionally, External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar will embark on a two-day visit to the state starting from Saturday.
During his visit, Nadda will participate in party programs in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, while Jaishankar’s itinerary includes engagements in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Sambalpur, including meetings with intellectuals and media editors, as stated by Mohapatra.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to address two political rallies in the Berhampur and Nabarangpur parliamentary constituencies on May 6, ahead of the first-round elections in Odisha scheduled for May 13. Nadda had previously addressed a Vijay Sankalp Samavesh at Ambapua near Berhampur on April 28, cautioning against the influence of “outsiders” in the government and advocating for an end to the 24-year rule of the BJD in the state.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah had initiated the election campaign for the BJP on April 25 from Sonepur, strategically chosen to sway voters in western Odisha, where the party secured all five Lok Sabha seats (Bargarh, Sundargarh, Balangir, Sambalpur, and Kalahandi) in 2019.
