BJD Suspends Three Baleshwar Leaders Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities in College Elections
Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has suspended three party leaders from Baleshwar district for their alleged involvement in anti-party activities during college elections.
The disciplinary action was announced by the party from its state headquarters, Sankha Bhawan.
According to the party, the suspension comes in response to activities considered detrimental to the organization’s interests during the college election process.
The leaders suspended with immediate effect are Dhiren Kumar Nayak, a member of the Biju Yuva Janata Dal (BYJD), Bibhudutta Parida, a member of the Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD), and Manas Das Pattnaik, former coordinator of the BJD in Baleshwar.
The move signals the party’s effort to maintain discipline within its organisational structure and send a strong message against actions perceived to be against party interests.
Political observers believe the suspension could have implications for the party’s student and youth wings in the district, where college elections often serve as an important indicator of grassroots political engagement.
