BJD Minority Cell Flags Voter List Irregularities, Urges CEO Action
Bhubaneswar: The BJD Minority Cell has lodged a formal complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), alleging irregularities in the ongoing voter list revision.
The delegation highlighted discrepancies in the updated rolls, warning that such lapses could disenfranchise eligible voters, particularly from minority communities.
Party representatives urged the CEO to ensure transparency and fairness in the process, stressing that voter inclusion is essential for democratic participation.
They pointed out errors in the revised electoral rolls and demanded immediate corrective measures to safeguard citizens’ rights.
The Minority Cell cautioned that failure to address these issues could undermine public trust in the electoral system and weaken democratic values in Odisha.
