Bhawanipatna AEE Under Vigilance Scanner for Disproportionate Assets

Bhubaneswar Sabar, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of the Roads & Buildings Division in Bhawanipatna, has come under the scanner of Odisha Vigilance for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Acting on warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhawanipatna, teams of Odisha Vigilance conducted simultaneous raids at six locations linked to Sabar across Kalahandi district.

The searches covered two double‑storeyed houses in Bhawanipatna town and Kusumkhunti village, a nine‑acre farmhouse at Kitpadar with mango, coconut, and palm plantations, an under‑construction building at Duarsuni, his office premises at the R&B Division, and government quarters at PWD Colony.

Officials also examined two under‑construction market complexes near Moter Chhak in Bhawanipatna.

The raids were led by six DSPs, eight Inspectors, and supporting staff, who scrutinised property papers, financial records, and other documents.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities expected to release a detailed assessment of movable and immovable assets after verification.

Odisha Vigilance has intensified its crackdown on corruption cases involving government officials in recent months.
