Bhadrak Anganwadi Centres Closed Amid Floods
Bhadrak district administration has ordered the closure of all Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) projects today, August 26, 2026.
The decision comes in response to severe flood conditions and waterlogging across the district.
Collector and District Magistrate of Bhadrak directed Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs) to strictly enforce the closure and ensure the safety of children.
The move prioritises the well-being of young learners and staff, as floodwaters continue to disrupt normal life in several areas.
Authorities have urged parents and guardians to remain cautious and follow safety advisories until conditions improve.
