Baliguda CRPF Jawan’s Death: Wife Arrested for Abetment
Baliguda police have arrested the wife of CRPF jawan Ashok Kumar Behera after evidence surfaced that she abetted his suicide.
Behera, posted in Baliguda, consumed poison on July 7 and later died while undergoing treatment.
Investigations revealed ongoing marital discord, with the wife filing multiple complaints against Behera and his family.
Reports also suggest her involvement in an extramarital relationship with another CRPF jawan, which allegedly caused Behera severe mental distress.
Following a complaint lodged by Behera’s family, police gathered proof of instigation and arrested his wife, who has now been sent to jail.
Baliguda SDPO confirmed that another individual’s role in the case is also under scrutiny.
The incident has sparked concern locally, highlighting the pressures faced by security personnel and the need for stronger support systems to prevent such tragedies.
