ADGP Dayal Gangwar Shifted as OSD in Odisha Home Dept

Bhubaneswar, May 25: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Odisha Government has transferred senior IPS officer Dayal Gangwar, ADGP (Communication), Cuttack, to the role of Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Home Department.

The official notification, issued under the Governor’s order and signed by Additional Secretary Trilochan Majhi, marks a strategic move to strengthen internal operations and policy execution within the department.

A 1998 batch IPS officer, Gangwar, has played a pivotal role in enhancing communication and coordination systems in the Odisha Police.

His new assignment is expected to leverage his expertise in advancing reforms in police administration and improving inter-departmental synergy.

Officials believe the transfer will bolster the Home Department’s capacity to streamline governance and ensure effective implementation of law and order measures across the state.
