Bhubaneswar: In a major narcotics crackdown, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) and Customs officials seized 5.291 kg of hydroponic cannabis worth an estimated ₹1.85 crore at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA), Bhubaneswar.
The contraband was recovered from four passengers who had arrived from Bangkok.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, officials intercepted the passengers upon arrival and conducted a detailed examination of their baggage.

The recovered substance was tested using a narcotics detection kit, which confirmed it to be cannabis/marijuana.

The total seizure amounted to 5.291 kg of hydroponic cannabis with an estimated international market value of around ₹1.85 crore.
