Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), April 15: With no significant synoptic system present over the region, Odisha is expected to experience heat wave conditions in isolated areas over the next five days until April 19, according to forecasts from the IMD regional center.
Following this period, rainfall activity is anticipated in several districts of the state, prompting the issuance of a Yellow Warning for the subsequent five days.
In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD reported a notable rise in maximum temperatures at select locations in North Coastal Odisha and South Interior Odisha, with appreciable rises in many areas of Interior Odisha. However, temperatures remained below normal in certain places of Interior Odisha and above normal in select areas of Coastal Odisha.
Over the next four to five days, the maximum daytime temperatures are expected to gradually increase by 4°C to 6°C across many districts of Odisha.
Yesterday, Paralakhemundi recorded the highest maximum temperature at 40.5°C, while Phulbani registered the lowest minimum temperature at 21.5°C in the plains of Odisha.
