Yash’s Toxic Shatters Records: ₹18 Cr in 48 Hours

Pan‑India action drama Toxic, starring Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas, is already setting records before its theatrical release on August 26, 2026.

Advance bookings opened on August 21, and within just 48 hours, the film collected over Rs 18 crore across languages.

More than 4.7 lakh tickets have been sold nationwide, with the Kannada version contributing around Rs 10 crore and the Hindi version generating Rs 8 crore, particularly strong in North India.

BookMyShow reported ticket sales at nearly 10,000 per hour.

In its first 24 hours, Toxic sold 2.5 lakh tickets, surpassing the advance booking pace of major blockbusters like Jawan (1.5 lakh), Dhurandhar 2 (1.3 lakh), and Animal (55,000).

The Hindi version alone sold 60,000 tickets in a day, outpacing Animal’s overall figure.

Featuring Yash alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria, the film has been cleared by the CBFC with an “A” certificate and no cuts.

With buzz around its high‑octane action, intimate scenes, and bold imagery, Toxic is poised for a massive box office opening.
