Vice President Dhankhar’s Resignation Sparks Political Storm; Nadda Under Fire

The controversy centres on BJP National President and Union Minister J.P. Nadda, who allegedly skipped crucial meetings during the monsoon session, prompting opposition outrage.

On Monday, chaos erupted in both Houses as opposition leaders demanded accountability.

Presiding over the Rajya Sabha, Dhankhar expressed openness to debate all issues. However, Nadda, serving as NDA leader, insisted only his statement be recorded—fueling tensions.

Dhankhar later convened a meeting with NDA leaders, including Nadda and Kiren Rijiju.

While the morning session saw partial attendance, Nadda’s absence from the 4:30 PM follow-up meeting reportedly left Dhankhar feeling slighted, leading to speculation that his resignation was a form of protest.

On Tuesday, Nadda clarified that he had informed Dhankhar’s office about his scheduling conflict.
