Two-month-old infant critical after falling into fire stove in Balasore
Balasore (Odisha): A two-month-old infant is battling for life after suffering severe burn injuries in Chalanti village under Basta block of Balasore district.
According to reports, the baby slipped from the mother’s lap and fell into a fire-filled cooking stove while the family was sitting nearby to keep warm during the cold night.
The infant sustained burns over more than half of the body.
The child was rushed to the Basta medical facility and later referred to the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital due to the critical condition.
Doctors are closely monitoring the infant’s health.
The incident has left the local community shocked, highlighting the dangers of traditional heating practices during winter.
