Two Killed in Pickup Van–Bike Collision in Berhampur

Berhampur: A tragic road accident claimed the lives of two youths at Baiganbadi Chhak under Sadar police station limits this afternoon.

According to local sources, a pickup van heading towards Berhampur collided head-on with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction near Baiganbadi Chhak. The impact was so severe that both riders of the motorcycle died on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Kantha Sethi (35) and Sanatan Suna (42), residents of Khallingi village under Sanakhemundi area. Both were well-known faces in their locality, and news of their sudden demise cast a pall of grief over the village.

On being informed, Sadar police rushed to the spot, initiated an inquiry, and sent the bodies for post-mortem to MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur. The pickup van and motorcycle involved in the accident were seized, while the driver of the van has been detained for questioning.
