Traffic restrictions planned for Odisha CM’s swearing-in ceremony in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), June 11: The Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police will impose traffic restrictions in certain areas of Bhubaneswar on Wednesday due to the inauguration ceremony of the new Odisha Chief Minister.

As per the traffic advisory released, all vehicular movement will be restricted from Jaydev Vihar Square to Nalco Square and vice versa, along with the connecting lanes and by-lanes, from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm on Wednesday, or until the conclusion of the function. Access to these routes will only be granted to vehicle owners possessing special passes for the oath-taking ceremony.

For buses arriving from Cuttack, alternative routes via service roads after Rasulgarh ROB, Vani Vihar, Acharya Vihar, Apollo Hospital, Sainik School, Press Chhak, NALCO Square, and Kalinga Hospital are advised. Drivers are instructed to park their vehicles in a single line from Railway Colony Chhak towards Utkal Hospital and Hatiasuni Chhak.

Similarly, buses from Nandankanan heading towards OMFED Square are directed to divert left towards MCL Guest House, then right towards Press Chhak, followed by another right turn at the dropping point near OSAP 7th Battalion Gate, NALCO Square, and Kalinga Hospital road, with parking available on the same stretch.

For buses arriving from the Khurda side, the recommended route includes using the service road after Jaydev Vihar Square Flyover Bridge, passing through Acharya Vihar Square, and proceeding towards Apollo Hospital, Sainik School, and Press Chhak before reaching the dropping point at OSAP 7th Bn. Gate to NALCO Square and Kalinga Hospital Road. Parking facilities are available along this route.
