Kolkata, May 12 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly Suvendu Adhikari has welcomed the suspension of senior servitor Ramakrushna Dasmohapatra by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) for his alleged role of using left out woods of Puri temple in the newly opened Digha Jagannath temple in east Medinipur late last month.
Adhikari in a post of his X handle said the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has suspended senior servitor Ramakrushna Dasmohapatra for a month for his alleged role in Digha temple.
” I welcome this decisive action in light of his unethical involvement in the Digha Jagannath Cultural Centre controversy,” said the BJP leader who is the Nandigram MLA.
” Dasmohapatra has deeply hurt the religious sentiments of millions of devotees worldwide. This suspension sends a strong message, that the sanctity of our revered Mahaprabhu Shree Jagannath Dham in Puri, must be upheld. The Sanatani community would certainly be happy about the decision,” Adhikari said.
