Ganjam, Odisha: A shocking incident unfolded in Mahanala village under Patapur block when a nine‑year‑old boy was brutally attacked by five stray dogs while playing outside his home.

The dogs mauled the child, tearing part of his skull and leaving him with severe head injuries.

Local residents rushed to rescue the boy and managed to drive away the dogs.

He was immediately taken to Digapahandi Medical and later referred to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur, where his condition remains critical.
