Pune, July 7 (UNI) The Southwest Monsoon has been vigorous over Saurashtra and Kutch and active over Odisha, Jharkhand, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh.
It has been subdued over Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said today.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Gangetic West Bengal, coastal Jharkhand, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat region, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Karnataka and Kerala, the IMD bulletin said.
These have occurred at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, western Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, western Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra, and Kutch.
Rain or thunderstorms also occurred at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, south interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, west Rajasthan, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu, north interior Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the IMD said.
