Rising Night Temperatures and Dense Fog Grip Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Odisha witnessed warmer nights across most districts in the past 24 hours, with only two places recording minimum temperatures below 10°C. G. Udayagiri registered the lowest at 6.8°C, followed by Semiliguda at 9.6°C. In the plains, Phulbani reported 10.5°C.
Meanwhile, dense fog blanketed Chandbali, Paradip, Jagatsinghpur, and Kendrapara, reducing visibility to as low as 50 meters.
Moderate fog was observed in Paralakhemundi, while light fog affected Bhubaneswar, Baripada, Bhawanipatna, and Rourkela.
The Regional Meteorological Centre has issued a yellow warning for dense fog in coastal districts over the next two days. On January 30, Khordha, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, and Bhadrak are expected to be affected.
On January 31, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, and Kendrapara will remain under warning.
Despite the foggy conditions, officials predict no major weather changes this week, with dry and sunny days likely to continue.
