RI Exam Delayed Across Odisha Due to Server Glitch
Bhubaneswar, Nov 6 — A major server failure disrupted the Revenue Inspector (RI) examination conducted by the Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC), causing widespread confusion and frustration among thousands of aspirants across the state.
Candidates had arrived at their designated centres well before the scheduled entry time of 7:30 AM. However, due to a technical glitch, the exam portal remained inaccessible, forcing many to wait outside for over an hour.
Entry was eventually permitted around 8:45 AM.
Affected centres included Berhampur, Kakatpur, Nayapalli, Mancheswar, Chandrasekharpur, and Patia. Candidates reported login issues and difficulty navigating the portal, despite being punctual.
The OSSSC has yet to release an official statement explaining the cause of the disruption or outlining corrective measures.
The incident has sparked criticism from both aspirants and educators, who are demanding robust technical safeguards for future high-stakes examinations.
This delay not only disrupted the exam schedule but also raised serious concerns about the preparedness of the commission in handling digital infrastructure for mass recruitment drives.
