Rayagada Cinema Hall Fire Sparks Panic During Prabhas Fans’ Celebration

Rayagada, Odisha – A minor fire broke out at Ashok Talkies cinema hall in Rayagada on Friday evening during fans’ celebrations for Prabhas’ latest film, The RajaSaab.

The incident occurred when a plate used in an Aarti ritual slipped, igniting scattered papers on the floor.

Flames spread quickly, causing panic among moviegoers. However, spectators acted swiftly to control the blaze, preventing any major damage.

No casualties or property loss were reported, and screenings resumed shortly after.

Fans had gathered in large numbers to mark the release of The RajaSaab, a horror-comedy directed by Maruthi Dasari and starring Prabhas alongside Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, and Zarina Wahab.

Released worldwide on January 9, 2026, the film has drawn massive crowds across India.
