Rath Yatra 2026: Odisha Introduces Shuttle Autos, Free Services for Devotees
The Odisha Commerce & Transport Department has rolled out shuttle auto services to ease pilgrim movement during Rath Yatra 2026.
A total of 41 tokens have been issued for autos operating between Sterling Square and Lighthouse Square, ensuring smooth last‑mile connectivity.
To further assist devotees, LED vans are displaying real‑time traffic updates at key junctions including Master Canteen, Uttara, Kalpana Square, and Cuttack Road.
Odisha Police has urged pilgrims to follow advisories and stay connected to official social media channels for live updates.
Commerce & Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena also flagged off free auto and e‑rickshaw services from Talabania, highlighting the government’s commitment to safety, accessibility, and convenience.
Senior officials, including the Transport Commissioner and RTO Puri, were present at the launch.
These measures underscore Odisha’s focus on making Rath Yatra not only a spiritual celebration but also a well‑managed civic event prioritising public welfare.
