Rakhi Purnima Celebration with Odisha CM Majhi Highlights Unity and Development in Jeypore

Jeypore, (OT Webdesk) — In a heartwarming display of tradition and unity, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi celebrated Rakhi Purnima with school children at Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Arvind Nagar, Jeypore.

The event, held during his two-day visit to the Koraput district, saw students tying sacred rakhis on the CM’s wrist, symbolising protection and affection.

Deputy Chief Ministers K.V. Singhdeo and Pravati Parida, along with Ministers Nityananda Gond, Gokulananda Mallick, and Jeypore MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati, joined the celebration.

In a gesture of camaraderie, Deputy CM Parida tied rakhis to Singhdeo and Bahinipati, reinforcing the spirit of unity among leaders.

Addressing the gathering, CM Majhi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to inclusive development. “Our aim is to ensure that all welfare schemes reach the people of southern Odisha, including Jeypore,” he said.

The Rakhi Purnima celebration not only honoured cultural traditions but also served as a platform to highlight the administration’s developmental priorities for the region.
