Puri SP Reviews Security Blueprint Ahead of Kartik Brata 2025

PURI: With Kartik Brata 2025 approaching, Puri Superintendent of Police Prateek Singh convened a high-level meeting to finalise security and logistical arrangements for the month-long religious observance.

The meeting brought together senior officers, temple authorities, and civic stakeholders to ensure a safe and spiritually enriching experience for thousands of devotees.

Key focus areas include crowd management, traffic regulation, emergency response readiness, and coordination with temple servitors and volunteers.

The police will deploy additional personnel across strategic locations, install CCTV and drone surveillance, and set up medical aid and fire safety stations.

Streamlined traffic routes and designated parking zones are also part of the plan to accommodate the expected surge in pilgrim footfall.

The Kartik Brata, culminating in Rasa Purnima, is marked by rituals such as Habisha meal distribution and Kartika Deepa lighting, drawing large crowds to Srimandir.

SP Singh reaffirmed the department’s commitment to maintaining order and facilitating a peaceful devotional atmosphere.
