President Droupadi Murmu’s Spiritual and Academic Journey in Odisha
President Droupadi Murmu marked her first official visit to Jajpur district with a blend of tradition and progress.
She offered prayers at the historic Biraja Temple and performed ancestral rituals at Nabhi Gaya, followed by visits to several revered shrines, including Gangeswar, Mukteswar, Sanhar Bhairav, and the 108 Shiva Lingas.
The temple atmosphere resonated with Vedic chants and traditional huluhuli sounds, as devotees gathered to witness the occasion.
The district administration honoured her with a Buddhist idol and a Tussar silk saree, while cultural programs showcased Odisha’s rich heritage.
Later, the President travelled to Balasore to attend the convocation ceremony of Fakir Mohan University.
She inaugurated a new auditorium and addressed the gathering, emphasising the importance of inclusive growth, technological advancement, and the pivotal role of universities in shaping India’s future.
Her visit symbolised a harmonious balance between spiritual devotion and academic vision, leaving a lasting impression on the people of Odisha.
