Pitabas Panda Murder Case: Lawyer Alleges Suppression of Crucial Evidence

In a dramatic twist to the Pitabas Panda murder investigation, lawyer Deepak Pattnayak has accused police of deliberately concealing key evidence.

Representing Bikram Panda, Pattnayak claimed that investigators recovered a secret chamber key from Pitabas’s belongings, which led to photographs and a pen drive allegedly showing Bikram in compromising situations with a woman.

According to Pattnayak, these items were seized in the presence of Pitabas’s wife, Susmita, and even mentioned in the chargesheet.

However, they were never produced in court, raising questions about transparency in the investigation.

The lawyer demanded scientific verification of the materials to establish their authenticity.

The chargesheet, filed on January 4, spans over 1,600 pages and documents multiple failed attempts on Pitabas’s life before his murder on October 6, 2025, at Baikunthanagar Square in Berhampur.

Police have yet to respond to the allegations, while public interest in the case continues to grow.
