Peace Committee Meeting in Barbil Ensures Harmony Ahead of Ram Navami Celebrations
Barbil: In preparation for the forthcoming Ram Navami festival, a Peace Committee Meeting was convened today at the premises of Barbil Police Station to safeguard law and order and promote communal harmony during the celebrations.
The meeting witnessed the participation of respected members of the Peace Committee, local community leaders, representatives of various religious groups, youth volunteers, and officials from the police and civil administration, including the SDM-cum-Sub-Collector Champua, SDPO Barbil, Tahasildar Barbil, Executive Officer Barbil Municipality, and IIC Barbil Police Station.
Detailed discussions were held on the smooth and peaceful conduct of processions, adherence to designated routes and timings, traffic management, regulation of sound systems, and strict prohibition of inflammatory speeches, slogans, and songs.
Emphasis was placed on cooperation, tolerance, and responsible behaviour by all stakeholders.
Barbil Police urged organisers and participants to celebrate the festival peacefully, avoid spreading rumours or misinformation, and promptly inform authorities in case of any untoward incident.
The importance of responsible use of social media was also highlighted.
All members present assured full cooperation with the administration and pledged to work collectively to maintain peace and harmony in the area.
The meeting concluded with a collective appeal to the public to celebrate Ram Navami in the spirit of unity, brotherhood, and mutual respect.
