Bhubaneswar,(Orissa Today) Feb 8: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a 2-3°C drop in minimum temperatures across Odisha in the next 24 hours. However, no significant change in temperature is expected afterward. The weather office has also issued a dense fog alert for several districts.
The IMD has placed a yellow warning for Ganjam, Gajapati, Khurda, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Koraput, and Malkangiri, cautioning about dense fog in isolated areas.

Dry weather will prevail across Odisha.
Shallow to moderate fog is expected in Ganjam, Gajapati, Khurda, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Koraput, and Malkangiri, with light fog in Angul, Puri, Dhenkanal, and Jajpur.
Day 2 (February 9–10, 2025)
Dry conditions will continue.
Fog expected in Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, and Ganjam, with light fog in Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, and Gajapati.
Day 3 (February 10–11, 2025)
Dry weather persists across Odisha.
Shallow to moderate fog likely in Kalahandi, Sundargarh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.
Residents are advised to stay alert and exercise caution while traveling in fog-affected areas.
