Odisha Vigilance Raids Six Locations in ₹3 Crore Misappropriation Case
Odisha Vigilance officials have launched simultaneous raids at six locations linked to Bhanja Kishore Behera, former Senior Revenue Assistant (SRA) of Tirtol block, Jagatsinghpur district, now posted at Naugaon Tahasil.
Behera was arrested for alleged misappropriation of government funds amounting to over Rs 3 crore.
The raids are being conducted under Katak Vigilance Police Station Case No. 30/2026, registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2018.
Properties under scrutiny include a 7,000 sq ft residential building, a 4,000 sq ft tent house, and a 3,000 sq ft double‑storeyed building in Patenigaon village.
Officials are also searching Behera’s current office at Naugaon Tahasil, his former office at Tirtol Block Development Office, and a relative’s residence in Sanakorkora village.
Search operations are ongoing, with further details awaited from Vigilance authorities.
