Odisha Unveils Subhadra Grievance Redressal Module to Empower Excluded Beneficiaries
Bhubaneswar, Sept 15, 2025 — In a significant move to bolster transparency and inclusivity, Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida today launched the “Subhadra Grievance Redressal Module” at the Women and Child Development Department’s conference hall. The initiative is designed to ensure that no eligible woman is left out of the Subhadra Scheme, a flagship welfare program aimed at empowering women across the state.
The newly launched module enables beneficiaries to file complaints both online via the Subhadra portal and offline through designated government channels. These grievances will be reviewed by Block Level or Urban Level Scrutiny Committees, followed by field verification if necessary. Final decisions will be made by District Level or Municipal Corporation Level Committees.
Deputy CM Parida emphasized the government’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and timely resolution. “Every complaint will be addressed with urgency and fairness,” she stated.
As of now, over 1.09 crore applications have been registered under the Subhadra Scheme, with more than one crore women already benefiting. Currently, 2.83 lakh complaints are under review, and the new module is expected to expedite their resolution while allowing applicants to track their complaint status in real time.
This launch marks a pivotal step in Odisha’s digital governance and its mission to ensure equitable access to welfare benefits for all eligible women.
