
Odisha Unveils Rs 25,380 Crore Industrial Investment, Promises 52,000 Jobs Across 12 Districts
Bhubaneswar, Sept 15 — In a landmark move to accelerate industrial growth, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced the launch of 27 major industrial projects worth Rs 25,380 crore. The announcement was made during a high-profile ceremony at the OUAT Conference Hall, attended by industry leaders, investors, and senior government officials.
The projects span 12 districts including Jharsuguda, Ganjam, Khordha, Koraput, Angul, Sundargarh, Bhadrak, Puri, Cuttack, and Sambalpur. They cover key sectors such as renewable energy, textiles, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and downstream industries.
CM Majhi emphasized the government’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment and inclusive regional development. “This initiative will generate over 52,000 employment opportunities and position Odisha as a leading industrial hub in eastern India,” he stated.
The announcement signals a transformative phase for Odisha’s economy, with strategic investments aimed at sustainable growth and job creation.
