Odisha to Launch Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission Pilot in Keonjhar

Odisha is set to take a major step toward digital healthcare transformation with the rollout of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced Keonjhar district as the pilot location for the initiative, directing officials to begin immediate implementation.

Under the mission, residents will be able to link their Aadhaar numbers to receive new Ayushman digital health cards.

These cards will securely store citizens’ digital health records, ensuring faster and more efficient access to medical services. Beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat scheme will gain additional advantages through this digital upgrade.

In parallel, the state government will strengthen healthcare infrastructure by introducing Diplomate of National Board (DNB) postgraduate medical courses in district headquarters hospitals.

This move aims to address the shortage of specialist doctors in rural areas and provide advanced healthcare facilities to the general public.

Officials believe the initiative will mark a new chapter in Odisha’s healthcare sector, combining digital innovation with improved medical education and infrastructure.
