Odisha to Auction 22 Mines: Minister Calls It a Game-Changer

(OT Webdesk)In a strategic move to invigorate its industrial landscape, the Odisha government is set to auction 22 new mining blocks.

Steel and Mines Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena confirmed that the auction process is nearing completion, with all blocks fully processed and ready for bidding.

This initiative follows the successful auction of eight mines last year and is expected to significantly enhance the state’s revenue, stimulate industrial growth, and generate employment across sectors.

Jena also criticised the previous administration for delaying mine auctions, which he claims stalled development opportunities.

With Odisha’s mineral-rich regions poised for renewed activity, stakeholders anticipate a surge in investments and infrastructure development, aligning with broader economic goals.
