Odisha Police Rolls Out Emergency Helpline Numbers to Enhance Public Safety
Bhubaneswar, Dec 17: In a major step to strengthen citizen safety, Odisha Police has announced a set of emergency helpline numbers designed to provide immediate support during critical situations.
Officials described the initiative as a lifeline for the public, ensuring that help is always just a call away.
The newly launched helplines cover diverse needs:
- 112 – All-in-One Emergency Response Support System (ERSS)
- 181 – Women’s Safety Helpline
- 1095 – Traffic Helpline
- 1930 – Cybercrime & Fraud Helpline
- 1098 – Child Helpline
- 14567 – Senior Citizen Helpline
Authorities emphasised that these helplines will act as a crucial bridge between citizens and law enforcement, streamlining emergency responses and reinforcing trust in the police force.
The move reflects Odisha Police’s commitment to safeguarding communities and ensuring timely intervention in times of need.
