Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), June 24: Odisha’s School and Mass Education Minister, Nityananda Gond, announced on Monday the initiation of a probe into school transformation projects carried out under the 5T initiative. Addressing the media, Gond emphasized that a thorough investigation will be conducted into allegations of irregularities in these projects, with strict actions planned against those found responsible.
Gond also assured that vacant teaching positions across the state will be filled promptly. He acknowledged past instances of fake teachers and assured that the government will investigate these cases thoroughly, taking immediate action against any wrongdoing.
The Minister issued a stern warning to teachers to fulfill their duties sincerely, emphasizing that action will be taken against those who neglect their responsibilities, especially after being transferred. He urged teachers to attend school regularly and dedicate themselves to educating children.
The school transformation program, initiated during the previous BJD government under the 5T initiative, saw numerous schools in the state undergo renovations and upgrades, involving substantial expenditures. Allegations of corruption related to these projects have prompted the current probe announced by Minister Gond.
