Odisha Marks 77th Republic Day with Splendor in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar witnessed a grand celebration of India’s 77th Republic Day as Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati unfurled the national flag and took the salute at the state‑level parade.

The event, held at Mahatma Gandhi Marg, showcased the spirit of unity, democracy, and inclusiveness.

A total of 54 contingents participated in the parade, including CRPF, OISF, Home Guards, Civil Defence, and student groups. Their disciplined march reflected the strength and diversity of the nation.

Adding vibrancy to the occasion, 12 thematic tableaux highlighted Odisha’s welfare schemes, infrastructure projects, education initiatives, and public service achievements.

Each tableau underscored the state’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.

The cultural segment featured five folk dance and art groups, bringing alive Odisha’s rich heritage and regional diversity. The performances enthralled the audience and reinforced the state’s cultural pride.

Senior officials, public representatives, and citizens attended the event, making it a true people’s celebration.
