Odisha Launches Training Program for Engineers to Drive 2036 Development Vision
The Works Department of Odisha has inaugurated a specialised training program for newly appointed Assistant Executive Engineers, aiming to equip them with modern knowledge, advanced technology, and quality standards in infrastructure development.
Chief guest Prithviraj Harichandan emphasised that Odisha’s vision of becoming a fully developed state by 2036 aligns with India’s national goal of achieving developed nation status by 2047.
He highlighted the importance of world-class roads, modern construction methods, and the integration of artificial intelligence in engineering practices.
Guest of honour Rabinarayan Naik stressed that development must begin in villages and extend to cities, underscoring the critical role of roads and bridges in connectivity.
He urged engineers to sharpen their skills to meet future challenges.
The program began with a welcome address by Chief Engineer Satyabrata Behera and concluded with a vote of thanks from Chief Engineer Pradeep Kumar Jena.
This initiative reflects Odisha’s commitment to preparing its engineers as drivers of growth and modernisation, ensuring infrastructure development remains at the core of the state’s progress.
