Odisha Launches Mega Group C Recruitment Drive to Fill 22,896 Posts by August 31
(OT Webdesk)In a decisive move to address critical staffing shortages, the Odisha government has announced a large-scale recruitment drive to fill 22,896 Group C posts across 10 departments by August 31, 2025.
The directive, issued by the Chief Secretary, aims to tackle the backlog of 44,909 vacant positions that have hampered public service delivery.
The School and Mass Education Department tops the vacancy chart with 8,358 posts, followed by the Panchayati Raj Department (4,042) and the Health Department (3,677).
The General Administration Department has initiated the process by requesting updated vacancy data from all departments, including Health, Home, Agriculture, and Education.
This recruitment push is part of the state’s broader strategy to streamline governance and improve administrative efficiency.
Departments have been urged to expedite hiring to ensure timely onboarding and operational readiness.
