Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), June 24: Amid confusion surrounding the opening of the Ratna Bhandar at Jagannath Temple in Puri, the Odisha government clarified on Monday that the treasury will soon be accessible. Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan informed the media that necessary measures are underway to facilitate the opening of the 12th-century shrine’s treasury.
“The process is currently underway, and the Ratna Bhandar will be opened soon,” Minister Harichandan stated. He added that preparations are ongoing to finalize the logistics and timing for the opening.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to inspect the inner chambers and conduct an inventory of the precious jewelry inside, Harichandan emphasized that a decision on the exact date and time for opening the treasury will be made shortly.
Additionally, Harichandan, who also oversees Works and Excise departments, outlined his priorities to enhance public service across these sectors. He mentioned developing specific strategies for achievements over the next 100 days, one year, and five years.
