
Odisha Extends Deadline for Journalist Health Insurance Scheme
(OT Webdesk)In a move to bolster support for media professionals, the Odisha government has extended the application deadline for the Gopabandhu Sambadika Swasthya Bima Yojana.
Initially set to close on August 25, the deadline has now been pushed to August 30, 2025, following appeals from journalists seeking additional time to apply.
The scheme, launched to safeguard the health and welfare of working journalists, offers comprehensive health insurance coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh per family. Beneficiaries can avail of cashless treatment at empanelled hospitals across the state.
