Odisha CM Majhi Resolves 95% of Complaints in 16th Grievance Hearing

Bhubaneswar, Jan 5 — Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi presided over the 16th session of the state’s public grievance redressal program, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to citizen‑centric governance.

The session, held at the grievance cell in Unit‑2, Bhubaneswar, began with the CM meeting 30 individuals with disabilities and severe illnesses, personally listening to their concerns and directing officials to take immediate action.

According to official figures, out of 13,358 complaints received in the first 15 sessions, 12,748 (95%) have already been resolved, while the rest are in process.

More than 56,000 citizens have visited the grievance cell to date, reflecting growing public trust in the initiative. Through online and postal channels, 149,418 petitions have been filed, with 88% addressed.

In a gesture of compassion, CM Majhi approved medical assistance under the Single Window System for three individuals battling complex illnesses: Papun Moharana (Keonjhar), Priyabrata Pradhan (Khurda), and Diptimayee Dash (Cuttack).

The session also witnessed a heartfelt moment when a citizen recited a poem praising the Chief Minister’s humility and accessibility, likening him to a teacher who alleviates the sorrows of the common man.

Seven senior ministers and top bureaucrats joined the CM, underscoring the government’s united effort to ensure swift resolutions.

Majhi reiterated that the grievance cell will continue regularly, ensuring ordinary citizens receive justice and long‑standing issues are addressed promptly.
