Odisha CM Invited to Lead Celebrations at Khadial Mahotsav
The Khadial Mahotsav Celebration Committee has formally invited Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to attend the upcoming Khadial Mahotsav 2026 as the chief guest.
A delegation led by MP Malavika Devi and Khadial MLA Adhiraj Panigrahi met the Chief Minister in Bhubaneswar to extend the invitation.
The team also discussed local issues of the Khadial region, seeking his attention and support.
Known for his enthusiasm for culture, Majhi’s presence is expected to add significance to the festival, which has long been a symbol of Nuapada district’s rich traditions and heritage.
The committee expressed confidence that his participation will boost the festival’s prominence and inspire greater recognition of the district’s cultural identity.
The Khadial Mahotsav remains one of western Odisha’s most celebrated cultural events, drawing large crowds and showcasing folk art, music, and community spirit.
Organisers hope that the Chief Minister’s involvement will further elevate the festival’s stature in the cultural calendar of the state.
