Odisha Clears ₹3,280 Crore Projects, Promises 10,661 Jobs Across Sectors
Bhubaneswar: The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) has approved 19 new projects worth ₹3,280.58 crore, expected to generate 10,661 jobs across Odisha.
The investments span textiles, food processing, steel downstream, biofuel, chemicals, plastics, services, and tourism, marking a significant diversification of the state’s industrial base.
Among the highlights, textiles lead with major proposals from Sai Workwear (₹59 crore, 3,650 jobs in Puri) and Dollar Industries (₹125 crore, 1,185 jobs in Khordha).
The food processing sector will see units from Geofast Industries and Jai Bhawani Foods, while steel downstream projects in Deogarh, Sundargarh, and Cuttack promise value‑added manufacturing.
The biofuel sector received a major boost with IOCL’s ₹960 crore compressed biogas plants across eight districts, alongside Kineta Global’s ₹170 crore unit in Ganjam.
Plastics and chemicals projects, including Shri Dakshineshwari Maa Polyfabs (₹401.63 crore, 490 jobs), further expand Odisha’s industrial footprint.
Tourism investments include five hotel and resort projects in Ganjam, Puri, Jharsuguda, and Koraput, collectively worth over ₹700 crore and creating 1,675 jobs.
Chief Secretary Anu Garg emphasised that the approvals align with the Samruddha Odisha 2036 agenda, focusing on sustainable employment, regional spread, and faster project implementation.
While approvals mark a milestone, projects must still secure land, finance, and statutory clearances before commissioning.
